1 Who We Are
Bolaven Tours has been running private tours and transfers from Pakse since 2025. We drive small groups by tuk tuk or minivan across the Bolaven Plateau, to Wat Phou and Champasak, and to the 4000 Islands. Our team can assist guests in several languages, including English, French, Spanish, Lao, Italian and Thai.
We also work alongside local partners in the region to help guests find good places to eat and sleep along the way.
2 How We Work
Every tour we run is private. There is no fixed group to join and no mandatory guide, so you choose the route and the pace. Prices are per vehicle for up to six people, not per person, so a couple or a family travels for the same price as a full vehicle.
A guide, meals and accommodation are not included by default, but any of them can be added to any tour on request. We accept payment in US dollars, euros, Thai baht and Lao kip.
3 Where We Go
Our most requested trips are one to four day tours of the Bolaven Plateau, covering waterfalls, coffee farms and Katu villages. We also run day tours to Wat Phou and Champasak, transfers to the 4000 Islands, and multi-day routes across southern Laos that link the plateau, Wat Phou and the islands.
Guests who want a different combination can ask for a custom tour built around their own timing and interests, at the same per-vehicle pricing. Optional activities can be added to any Bolaven Plateau tour, including ziplining and waterfall rappelling at Tad Fane, a trek from Tad Lo to Tad Soung, a Lao cooking class, a Katu weaving workshop, and coffee or tea making workshops in Paksong.
4 Pricing & Booking
Bolaven Plateau day tours start at $50, Wat Phou and Champasak day tours start at $50, transfers to the 4000 Islands start at $130, and multi-day tours across southern Laos start at $360. Every tour includes pickup and return to Pakse, unless you ask to be dropped at the 4000 Islands or the Thai border instead.
Tours run daily and can be booked by WhatsApp, by email, or through the form on any tour page. A small deposit secures the booking. It is refundable up to 30 days before departure, less a small administration fee, and our terms and conditions cover cancellation and refunds in full.
